We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a reputable General Contractor based in the Lower Mainland. This is a fully in-office position offering a flexible compensation package, including a performance bonus and opportunities for career advancement. Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the VP of Pre-Construction, the Senior Estimator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the estimating and bidding process.Lead the end-to-end preparation of project bids, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and evaluation of supplier and subcontractor quotes.Develop and submit precise and comprehensive cost estimates for assigned projects.Maintain and update databases for suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing information.Prepare Construction Management and Design-Build proposals, as well as responses to RFQs and RFPs.Participate in client meetings and assist with project handover and startup.Contribute to project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and promote continuous improvement in estimating practices.Uphold accuracy, consistency, and quality standards across all estimating activities. Qualifications:8-10 years of experience in construction estimating within Canada, working for a general contractor, developer, or subcontractor.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.Proficient in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.Skilled in using estimating software, Microsoft Office applications, and advanced spreadsheet development.Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and numerical capabilities.Solid understanding of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement procedures.Post-secondary education or technical training in estimating, construction management, or a related discipline is an asset but not required.
