Overview The Senior Delivery Lead ensures delivery of software products primarily with the API Engineering team within Cloud Platform Engineering Enablement. The Senior Delivery Lead coordinates development and delivery activities and ensures deliverables are of the highest quality while adhering to enterprise delivery framework on release, change, project and architectural standards and methodologies by leveraging an agile squad team (Product, Engineering, Business, etc.). The primary accountability is the execution of shipping API Services software based on the product roadmaps and technical release plans developed by the Leadership Team. It also includes the identification, escalation and removal of release and team impediments. The API Engineering team builds API Management product, API Marketplace product and reusable software components and tools that accelerate the development velocity of hundreds of application development teams, provide architecture as code, provide solution design, development, integration, and operational services for enterprise customers. Responsibilities Responsible for the execution of day-to-day project and task oriented work efforts and meeting project expectations for established time, cost and specification definitions. Assemble and implement project plans. Build and maintain solid, professional working relationships with peers across Scotiabank: PMO, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and all Stakeholders. Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner; possess knowledge of principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing software solutions. Work with team to identify roadmap/feature dependencies and impediments; track, surface, escalate and remove impediments to enable the team. Regularly communicate with other scrum teams to ensure tactical story alignment and identify dependencies between teams. Provide standardized reporting for team performance (velocity, stories completed) and project status. Identify team conflicts and partner with Scrum Master to resolve; escalate to Leadership Team if needed. Budget: maintain awareness and communication to stakeholders. Tooling: ensure access to necessary software, hardware, testing devices, etc., and recommend continuous improvement. Provide feedback on individual performance and engage Triad leads with team awareness. Engage stakeholders (risk, legal, audit) as needed for consultation throughout the project. Administrative: ensure completion of required forms and processes for Bank-wide release management, maintain vacation schedules and resourcing recommendations. Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Qualifications 8-10 years' experience in managing and delivering complex software projects. Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies; ideally PMI PMP and Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM). Expert knowledge of project management practices, tools, and methodologies. Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Projects, and Office Suite. Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. Creativity and adaptability in identifying solutions; ability to lead through influence and deliver cross-functional initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and executive audiences; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives. Bachelors Degree or higher in computer engineering, information sciences, business or related field.
