Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.SummaryThis is a 12 month term position that will assist the Procurement Leads to ensure the best position for Simplot Grower Solutions (SGS) in the acquisition of seed, seed care, inoculant, and crop protection products by supporting our SGS network with excellence in demand planning, order execution, inventory tracking and supply planning. Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams for success in accurate rebate tracking, coordinating vendor prepays, purchase order/product receipt/invoice matching and ensuring accurate and timely payments to our distributors.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Procurement and LogisticsWork closely with Procurement Leads and Location Managers to monitor internal inventories, create purchase orders and effectively communicate orders to distribution partners while maximizing efficiencies of warehouse capacities and profitabilityEnsure product skus and pricing are up to date in ERP systemBe a point of contact for suppliers and distributors to collect information such as inventory forecast position reportsCommunicate accruals to our rebate team and ensure accuracy of rebate accrual estimatesResponsible for accurate sales data reporting and validationsEnsure current understanding of all products, load and package sizes appropriate to Simplot Grower Solutions MarketsEnsure 3-way match of purchase orders, purchase receipts and invoicing within our ERP systemsResponsible for submitting vendor prepays, accuracy and trackingAssist in review of vendor bill lists and reconcile to vendor statementsAssist in logistics of custom seed treating work with sales staff to ensure the most efficient use of custom seed treaters.Monitor aging inventory by locationIndustry LiasonEstablish and maintain strong relationships and large industry network as directed by Crop Protection & Seed ManagerCommunicate with designated representatives for manufacturers and distributorsLearn and upgrade knowledge of new products and product updates on CPP and Seed as requiredMaintain strong working knowledge of key industry people and competitorsSGS Team MemberBe an active supporter and contributor to the communities we serveContribute to and maintain a positive attitude in the workplaceKeep and maintain confidentiality of all customers, staff and suppliers and Simplot Grower Solutions businessHelp with any special projects as requiredBe familiar with and live the values that are defined by the Simplot Grower SolutionsContinually develop leadership and business skillsApprove, attend and contribute to community activities when appropriateSet, maintain, and live high ethical and moral standardsPleasantly greet customers and suppliersFill in for all roles when needed with appropriate skills and talentsSupport safety practices and initiatives as set by safety officer and ensure safe driving habitsMaintain and tidy up office and yardDemonstrate respect and courtesy for all staff, customers, suppliers, and communityExpectations in addition to Roles and ResponsibilitiesRetail locations are the primary profit centers for Simplot Grower Solutions.
