Resident Assistant (Personal Support Worker) Seniors Health Centre, PT (J0925-0854) Join North York General Hospital in the role of Resident Assistant in the Seniors Health Centre. This parttime regular position requires 8hour night shifts, including weekends. We are dedicated to peoplecentred care and innovation. Position Summary Assist nursing personnel in providing personal care to residents and perform procedures and treatments as instructed. Work under supervision of a registered nurse or practical nurse. Contribute to health and safety policy implementation for staff, patients, and families. On a Practical Level, You Will Perform all duties in accordance with legislation, the Mission Statement, organizational philosophy, and administrative policies and procedures of the Seniors Health Centre. Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or registered practical nurse in providing personal care to residents. Communicate effectively with elderly people and colleagues. Cooperate as a member of a health care team. Have an interest in and ability to work with the elderly. Qualifications Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology. Registered in good standing with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA). Longterm care experience (preferred). Skilled in pointofcare (POC) procedures (preferred). Bilingual in French/English (asset).
