We are a modern dairy farm located outside of Hickson, ON looking for weekday afternoon milkings from 12:30-4:30pm on monday, wednesday and friday afternoons. As well as a saturday or sunday morning or afternooon per week. We milk 150 cows three times a day in a double 8, parallel parlour. The milking is completed as a one person routine and involves pushing feed to cows with a skidsteer, bringing cows into the holding area, scraping and bedding sawdust stalls, and washing down the parlour. The routine is manageable to complete individually within 3.5 to 4h with previous milking experience. We start wages at $90 per milking ($22.50-$25.75 per hour) and will increase to $110 per milking ($27.50 to $31.45 per hour) with quality, reliability, longevity, etc. Ideally looking for someone who can do monday, wednesday, and friday afternoons. There is a possibility they can be different scheduled afternoons throughout the week instead. A minimum of 2-3 weekday afternoons are required. Additional afternoon milking shifts are available on weekdays during busy periods. There are also additional milkings available for weekend mornings (5:15-9:15am) and weekday and weekend nights (7:30-11:30pm) to fill in for current staff.
