Key Accountabilities Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall organisational goals, ensuring cost optimisation, quality, delivery, supplychain rationalisation and supplier diversity objectives are met. Identify critical and strategic suppliers, map out tierN suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations and reevaluations, establish and maintain strong business relationships. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards. Drive costsaving, avoidance and VAVE initiatives, monitor and report on PPV cost variances, manage supplier payment terms and ensure ethical procurement practices. Collaborate with finance, business systems, quality, engineering and operations to align procurement strategies with business requirements. Identify and mitigate supplychain risks, develop contingency plans for critical supply categories. Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes, utilising CRH Procurement resources to optimise benefits. Prioritise own work and provide category leadership to internal and external teams, promoting procurement value. All other duties as deemed necessary by the NAP Procurement Manager. Associated Responsibilities Collaborate and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships. Lead and attend category project meetings. Manage regular supplier review meetings. Report relevant category procurement KPIs on a monthly basis. Key Performance Indicators Annual procurement budget target of P&L savings minimum 3%. Contracts coverage for SRM, based on aligned annual target. Strategic supplychain mapping on critical supplies and tailend spend management. Effective supplier performance management on OTIF and quality matrix target. Experience and Training Proven experience in focused category management and strategic sourcing. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Project management skills. Strong negotiation skills. Proficient with procurement software and tools. Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards. Preferably with an engineering background. Essential Criteria Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CIPS are a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in focused category management and strategic sourcing. Qualification or industry experience in engineering would be desirable.
