Looking for a PSW worker, close by to downtown Hamilton. Female Preferred. Someone who is honest, considerate, caring and kind. I am looking for a PSW worker for my mother who is at Dundurn Place Care Centre 39 Mary Street North, Hamilton, ON L8R 3L8. My mother has Multiple System Atrophy. And has no strength to mobilize her wheelchair. We need someone two times a week for two hours each. 20.00/hour from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. To push her around in the wheelchair. Around Dundurn Place Care Centre, on cold, wintery days inside the building. And weather permitting just to go outside and sit in sunshine. Other days she may like to go to Jackson Square and grab some food to eat but not so often. But more so for fresh air and companionship. If weather is not good, even to be pushed around and be read the bible here and there. Also, someone who is able to communicate with nurses if needed. And write to me how she is doing and what she needs. If her needs are being met and what she did that day with you. Just a quick follow up at the end of the day is good too. Sometimes, if needed we will need 3 days a week for two hours if necessary, after you assess the situation. We are flexible on the days, you can choose. Except for Mondays and Fridays because she has rehab sessions on those days. My mother speaks and understands English. She is Korean.
