Repairs and maintains equipment and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications Necessary To Do The JobMust have 3rd Class Operating Engineer CertificationMust have a strong mechanical backgroundExcellent communications skills (English - spoken and written)Gas fitter background is a strong assetAbility to read and interpret preventative maintenance scheduleForklift certificate an assetProven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsComputer literate (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook)Must have a proven positive safety recordMain DutiesResponsible for steam equipment, air compressors, pumps, chillers and cooling towersResponsible for Co-Gen operationRepair and maintain equipment and machineryNew equipment installations and continuous improvement initiativesInventory of production materials, suppliesResponsible for preparing reportsOperation of cranes, machines, forklift, boiler, etc.Communication with outside suppliers for machinery and partsOther duties as requiredAwareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
