We are currently seeking a bilingual Personal Support Worker (PSW) fluent in Mandarin or Filipino to join our growing care team. Position Summary The PSW will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively in Mandarin and Filipino, ensuring culturally appropriate and linguistically accessible care for our diverse clients. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning. Provide assistance with meals, including feeding and dietary needs as required. Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing. Monitor and document client health changes and report to the supervisor. Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and respectful environment. Adhere to all infection prevention and safety protocols. Communicate effectively in Mandarin and Filipino with clients and families to ensure clarity of care instructions and comfort. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, client-centered service. Qualifications Completion of a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program (recognized by the province). Fluency in Mandarin or Filipino (verbal and written) required; English proficiency also necessary. Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in community care is an asset.
