The Gummy Collector / Packaging Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring product quality and supporting efficient production flow. Reporting to the Machine Operator / Team Lead, this position is responsible for handling finished gummies, conducting visual inspections, preparing them for drying and packaging, and assisting with sanitation and line support in a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join a growing team and directly contribute to JY Cares commitment to high-quality Canadian manufacturing. Responsibilities Gummy Handling & Inspection: Collect finished gummies from trays and moulds, conduct visual checks for defects, and transfer gummies to the drying room or packaging line according to SOP. Packaging & Line Support: Assist with weighing, bagging, and labeling of finished products and support Production Operators during start-up, changeovers, and shutdown. Compliance & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized working area and comply with GMP hygiene rules, PPE standards, and Health & Safety policies. Required Qualifications Prior experience in food handling or manufacturing preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot product defects. Ability to follow hygiene, PPE, and safety requirements. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Physically able to handle trays/boxes of up to 1520 kg.
