This individual will be part of a highly motivated team managing over $1.4 billion in client assets, with client interests at the forefront of every interaction.This is a 12-month maternity leave coverage, with the potential for extension.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure a consistent delivery of the Advisor teams brand of service: proactive, responsive, and professionalInteract regularly with clients of all ages and investment knowledge levels, delivering Four Seasons-level service and experience; interactions should be timely, professional, accurate, and aim to simplify clients livesProvide support to Portfolio Managers in all administrative duties for client accountsMeet and greet high net worth clients and assist Portfolio Manager in preparing for client meetingsBe involved in preparing and attending client meetings and/or eventsLead or assist with financial planning initiatives, gathering details, building plans, and potentially presenting financial plans to certain clientsResolve inquiries related to the administrative function of client accountsAnswer telephone calls and reply to client emails to ensure exceptional service in a timely fashionRequest information and documentation from clients to open accounts and keep client information up to dateMaintain excellent relations with back-office personnel and operational departmentsAssist or proactively tackle trading, rebalancing and generation of cash flow as needed; level of autonomy depends on experience and licensingNotify Portfolio Managers of tender offers and/or reorg-related itemsInitiate and monitor all pending transfers to ensure timely completionManage incoming and outgoing cash flows for clients via EFT, cheques, and wiresQualificationsProficient in English, oral and writtenProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)Ability to learn computer systems quicklyGood knowledge of debt and equity marketsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritizeHigh level of understanding of industry regulationsIn-depth knowledge of all account types and product/service intricacies available todayExperience in a discretionary, portfolio-managed practiceAbility to work under pressureAutonomy, initiative and attention to detailExcellent phone and email etiquette and customer serviceAbility to balance time pressures and deadlines with conflicting demandsEducationRegistered with CIRO as an Investment Representative (IR)Minimum of 5 years experience within the industry or related fieldWhy ApplyRichardson Wealth is committed to a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment.
