OverviewJoin to apply for the Senior, Environmental Project Manager role at WSP in Canada.WSP has a new opportunity for a Contaminated Sites Technical Report Author to join our Remediation Program Management team based in Alberta or British Columbia. This opportunity will allow you to evaluate risk and advise on contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline, crude oil etc.). It is expected that you are self-motivated and will demonstrate strong time management and communication skills.What you can expect to do hereParticipation in a team environment, working closely with and supporting Project Managers and Field TechniciansProduce high quality written technical reports in support of large and small environmental site assessment, monitoring and remediation projectsPreparation of Site closure documentation (detailed site investigations, regulatory forms)QA/QC laboratory data then generate tablesCompare the results to site-specific regulatory guidelines and/or protocols for reporting needs for the various Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Project DirectorsGenerate and QA/QC regulatory checklists, forms and other documents in support of reporting requirements to meet the site-specific project needs of provincial regulationsCreate, execute and revise work plans to meet Project Managers needsWhat youll bring to WSPBachelors degree in related field (sciences and/or Engineering)Minimum 7 years of experience in contaminated site assessments; downstream experience is considered an assetSound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace; possess a safety conscious attitudeStrong field experience is considered an assetUnderstanding of the Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Environmental regulationsProfessional designation is preferredExperience in the oil and gas sector will be an assetPreference will be given to those with more extensive experience with soil and groundwater monitoring programs, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, site remediation, and provincial regulations.About UsWSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
