Human Resources Assistant (Co-op) Join to apply for the Human Resources Assistant (Co-op) role at Aecon Group Inc. Overview Aecon is a Canadian leader in infrastructure development. As the Human Resources Assistant, you will provide administrative and coordination support to our Human Resources and Operations teams. What youll do HR Operational Support Work closely with HR and payroll to ensure accurate transaction submission for the employee life cycle, including new hires, terminations, benefits, compensation changes, and taxable benefits. Maintain salary reports and data accuracy. Act as liaison between employees and the payroll departments to resolve payrelated questions. Participate in data audits and generate HRIS reports. Draft offer letters, onboard new employees, and coordinate IT and software access. Schedule and coordinate orientations for new hires. Assist with offboarding and communication with payroll and IT. Support continuous improvement initiatives and backfill other HR administrators during absences or high volume periods. Maintain confidentiality of HR client resources. Central HR Support Manage the HR inbox, draft verification and reference letters, and respond to employee inquiries. Coordinate reward and recognition programs such as Aecon Achievement Awards and the John M. Beck Scholarship. Facilitate employee experience programs and award events. Manage invoices and liaise with vendor and A/P departments. Coordinate postonboarding communications with new hires. What you bring to the team Currently enrolled in a Human Resources Management program or related field (registered coop preferred). Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables. Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors is an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problemsolving skills and strong customerservice orientation. Professionalism and discretion handling sensitive information.
