Lead Canning Line OperatorLocation: 5510 Canotek Road, Ottawa, ON. K1J 9J4Status: Permanent full-timeSalary: $24-$26 per hour (dependent on experience)Dominion City is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced professional to join our production team as Lead Canning Line Operator. We’re specifically seeking someone with proven experience operating a Wild Goose 4-head Canning Line to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our packaging equipment.As the lead operator, you’ll manage day-to-day packaging activities—including the canning line, depalletizer, labeller, and keg cleaning/filling—while ensuring repairs, maintenance, and material handling are carried out efficiently. You’ll collaborate closely with our Brewery Manager and Production Manager to align on schedules, process and quality standards, SOP compliance, and continuous optimization for consistency, safety, and efficiency.The successful candidate is willing to learn, grow, and adapt as a member of this team.Key Responsibilities:Operate and oversee packaging equipment: canning, labelling, keg cleaning, and fillingPerform cleaning, sanitation, and routine maintenance on all packaging equipmentFollow and help refine preventative maintenance schedulesTroubleshoot and repair equipment issues promptlyTrack KPIs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to process improvementsLead packaging shifts on the canning lineWash kegs and maintain required clean keg inventoryAssist team members with packaging, grain handling, inventory, and warehouse tasksHandle cleaning and sanitization chemicals safely and effectivelyMaintain cleanliness and organization across all packaging, storage, loading, and waste disposal areasSupport Taproom inventory management and order preparationMonitor and organize packaged beer and packaging materials throughout the facilityRepresent Dominion City positively as an everyday ambassadorExperience & Requirements:Previous experience operating a canning line (Wild Goose experience strongly preferred)Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or within a teamStrong communication skills—both written and verbalComfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPhysically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kgFlexible availability for a 40+ hour workweek with varying start timesWe believe in decent work and offer above average wages, paid sick days and a generous employee discount program.
