THE OPPORTUNITY:Amarc Resources Ltd. (Amarc or the Company), an HDI-associated company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the Companys operations team, playing a critical role in overseeing the coordination of all site operations, with a strong focus on health, safety, environmental matters, and various operational aspects.THE COMPANY:Amarc is a leading British Columbia-focused copper-gold junior exploration and development company with a Corporate Office in downtown Vancouver, BC. Amarcs goal is to discover, develop and transact BCs next generation of copper-gold mines.Amarc has three copper-gold projects the JOY District, the DUKE District and the IKE District each hosts one or more copper deposits that are open to expansion and multiple drill ready deposit targets. During 2024, Amarc completed at least $23 M of drilling and other exploration across all three Districts, with up to 5 rigs drilling important scale deposit targets. Funding partners include Freeport-McMoRan and Boliden at the JOY and DUKE Districts, respectively, and Amarc is self-funding activities at the IKE District. Amarc operates all three projects.Hunter Dickinson Inc. (HDI) is a private and diversified, global mining group characterized by the commitment and drive of its founders. Over HDIs 35-year history it has discovered, developed and transacted 12 projects globally, that have been or are currently being mined.THE POSITION:In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will collaborate with the exploration team to provide quality logistical support services and is responsible for the coordination of exploration program contractors and services, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of field campaigns. Based in Vancouver, the Operations Manager will report to Amarcs Senior Operations Manager, as well as the President and CEO.Logistics Planning and Coordination:Develop and execute comprehensive exploration logistics plans in collaboration with the logistics and exploration teams.Coordinate transportation arrangements, including land and air logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of personnel, equipment, and supplies to exploration sites.Oversee compliant design, set-up and management of exploration camp facilities to ensure infrastructure, catering, and other essential services are provided.Health & Safety, and Environmental:Provide leadership through example, guidance and coaching to all employees and contractors on site in matters related to Health & Safety, and Environment.Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, and environmental regulations relevant to exploration activities, ensuring that federal, provincial, Amarc and the Companys funding partner standards are met.Participate in and lead as required pre-site orientations for each field campaign, and lead Health & Safety orientation for new arrivals at site.Monitor, timely report and investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses associated with exploration activities within the timeframes required by local jurisdictions, including WorkSafe BC, BC Ministry of Mining & Critical Minerals, and Amarcs funding partners.Possess a valid drivers license and Mines Supervisor ticket.Complete and maintain WorkSafe BC Advanced First Aid certification.Contractor Management and Supply Chain:In collaboration with Amarc senior management, spearhead the development, negotiation and implementation of contractor agreements; work with senior management in establishing all contract agreements and required insurance.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, assist in contract agreement set-up and negotiation as requested, and coordinate with the team to manage procurement processes for equipment, consumables, and services required for exploration operations.Implement inventory control procedures, including storage, inspection, cost and maintenance of equipment and supplies, in coordination with site personnel.Local Community and Government Relations:Lead and support local community engagement as required on behalf of Amarc, building mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships.Act as primary liaison with the communities as required, fostering open communication, trust and collaboration.Engage in subcontracting and workforce recruitment within local communities.Participate in the development of community strategies and as required attend and contribute to community meetings.Participate in meetings with the provincial government as required.Team Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate closely with the logistic team, and as required the Amarc leadership and technical team, and funding partners, to provide input on the planning for all site programs.Ensure seamless integration of logistics operations with overall project plans by coordinating with exploration geologists, and other personnel.Budgeting and Reporting:Work with the logistics team and Amarc leadership to develop an understanding of the operating budgets, participate in and lead as required, for any or all projects.Assist in tracking on site expenditures and in the approval of on-site invoices.Prepare regular reports on logistics operations, including key performance indicators, budget variances, and recommendations for process improvement.Other:Work with the Amarc team and any funding partners on various matters, such as:Assist the team with new permit and permit amendment applications, together with matters related to security of tenure.Contributing overall to Amarc technical programs as required.Compilation of geological, geochemical, geophysical, environmental, land and socio-economic data pertaining to all available data sources.Participate and contribute to special projects and other related logistical duties as required.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:Required Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 5 years experience mineral explorationFamiliarity with Health & Safety, and environmental regulations relevant to exploration activities.Proficiency in logistics software, and pertinent tools.Strong leadership abilities, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and team management skills.Effective written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, building and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local communities.Strong organizational skills needed to manage multiple priorities and streamline processes.Solution-oriented and able to address potential challenges with proactive problem-solving.Flexibility and adaptability to work in remote and challenging environments as needed.Possession of a valid drivers license and Mines Supervisor ticketUncompromising prioritization of safety and a desire to work in an organization where safety, collaboration, mutual respect, integrity, and excellence are valued.Background and expertise in remote logistics operations, field operations planning, and risk management are beneficial.Proficiency in IT- related skills.
