Logistics Coordinator / Transportation PlannerOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Planner to support our logistics operations at their Hamilton location. This role is responsible for coordinating transportation activities, optimizing delivery processes, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and third-party carriers.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate daily bulk deliveriesTroubleshoot and resolve shipment or delivery issuesTender loads to third-party carriers and monitor accessorial chargesCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet deadlinesCoordinate with Maintenance personnel regarding equipment repairs, maintenance, and wash schedulesManage payroll processes for company driversMonitor, evaluate, and report on 3PL carrier performanceQualifications5+ years of experience in transportation planning, dispatching, or load planningStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with intermodal and/or bulk rail logistics (an asset)Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
