Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning ManagerJoin Phasor Engineering Inc, a dynamic Alberta-based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing/commissioning of medium to high voltage electrical facilities and power system engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager to join our field services team on a full-time basis.OverviewAs the Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes across utility, power generation, and oil & gas industries. You will lead a team, manage direct reports, and ensure safety and compliance for all projects.ResponsibilitiesLead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes.Read and interpret drawings, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed.Prepare and submit reports.Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions.Ensure compliance with safety practices per corporate, client, and industry standards.Initiate and respond to customer inquiries, discuss troubleshooting details, and confirm resolutions.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket, or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized institute.4+ years experience leading a commissioning team in the electrical utilities industry.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an extreme attention to detail.Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and strong computer skills.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problemsolving skills.Ability to work extended periods out of town.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Background checks and Drug/Alcohol Pre-Access Testing will be required as part of employment.RequirementsLegally able to work in Canada (VISA sponsorship not available).Valid drivers license with clean driving record.Ability to work for extended periods out of town.Additional InformationTypical shifts: 4/3, 8/6, 10/4, and 14/7.Working hours generally from 7am 5:30pm (10hrs/day).
