What Youll Do Here: Responsible for following Procurement ProceduresAccountable to satisfy demand on timeResearch the market for products and suppliersIssue Requests for Quotation to approved suppliersIssue Requests for Proposal to approved subcontractors and service providersAnalyze proposals received in response to RFQs and RFPsPrepare Comparative Tables and make award recommendationsClosely collaborate with Project Control for costing analysis and allocationCreate Purchase Orders in SAPRevise Purchase Orders on SAP when approvedManage order confirmations from vendorsHelp the Procurement team with preparation of subcontract, service and supply agreements based on existing templatesHelp the Procurement team to issue Change Orders for existing agreements when requiredFollow up for execution of agreements by all partiesActively follow up with vendors for them to meet delivery deadlinesEvaluate Vendor performance with help of the requestersSeek approvals from ManagementContribute to the ongoing refinement of the project data filing systemsMaintain and organize all related filing systems based on approved proceduresOther procurement administrative duties as required What You Bring to the Team: Minimum two years experience in construction industry, experience in procurement favorableEstablishing of priorities based on understanding of project activities and their impact on future onesTechnical understanding of SAP and the procure-to-pay processAbility to do take-offs of quantities based on technical drawingsUnderstanding of total cost conceptsOf proactive nature and independent thinker with a habit of taking initiative and finding solutions for challengesAbility to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and able to multi-taskWilling to take ownership of assigned tasks, from beginning to completionAble to analyze written technical material of different levels of complexity and ask for clarification when needed.Strong organizational and time management skillsIntermediate to high mathematical skills Salary Range - $90,000 - $110,000 per annum Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
