This role combines platform engineering, automation, and collaboration with data science teams to deliver high-impact solutions.Location: TorontoWork Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Status: ContractResponsibilitiesArchitect and maintain containerized environments leveraging IBM OpenShift and KubernetesOptimize storage solutions including S3 and Netezza (NZ) for performance and scalabilityAutomate workflows and develop tools using Python and Shell scripting to streamline operationsCollaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure seamless integration within the Data Science ecosystemMonitor, troubleshoot, and enhance platform performance, reliability, and securityContribute to DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience with IBM OpenShift and Kubernetes in enterprise environmentsProficiency in S3, Netezza (NZ), and scripting languages (Python, Shell)Strong understanding of container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architecturesFamiliarity with Dataiku or similar data science platforms is highly desirableExcellent problemsolving skills and ability to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.Knowledge of additional data engineering tools and frameworksAbout AdastraFor more than 25 years, Adastra Corporation has been hyperfocused on data and the infrastructures to support it.
