Do what we say we are going to doWinners: We work as a team, we solve challenges, we find a way to win.Happiness: We are respectful & we smile and show enthusiasmWhat you will do:Lead & assist the purchasing team (1 report) ensuring daily objectives and priorities are metLead the annual cycle count planInventory management (aging, valuation, substitutions, adjustments, new launches/drops, RMAs, etc)Manage Vendor PerformanceExpand Vendor networkLead continuous improvement within your teamOversee development and management of Freight vendors.Assist in the development, training, and adherence of the department policies & standardsYour Experience:7+ years in leading a team7+ years experience in purchasing related roleUnderstanding of export / import operationsExperience with the set up and execution of inventory cycle countsExperience with developing vendor relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics companies, cross border LTL freight, freight claims managementStrong Understanding & Experience of Customs & CUSMA requirementsExperienced Excel user and ERP system or detailed and software navigation and data entry experience preferredHappy, Positive attitude of customer service and a desire to helpStrong organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and organizational planning skills; team player with collaborative working styleAutomotive/Mechanical background considered an assetProven record of tracking and improving results in quality and cost reductionFirst Aid Training certificates considered an assetSuccessful candidate must complete a criminal background checkWant to learn more about sterling?
