Advise clients (management, supervisors, and workers) on compliance with OHSA & regulations, and regulatory bodiesConduct site health & safety inspections for low-rise, high-rise construction projects and industrial facilitiesEnforce OHSA, regulations, and employer-specific safety requirementsDevelop, coordinate, and conduct training presentations related to H&S compliance (e.g. spill responses, fire safety training, workplace violence and harassment, H&S programs)Ensure health and safety compliance for constructors, trades, and subcontractorsConduct health and safety orientation for workers, trades, and subcontractorsPresent safety talks with workers on various health and safety topicsDevelop and distribute safety memos and alerts, when requiredAssist clients with coordination and completion of Joint Health & Safety Committees and Worker Trades CommitteesCreate customized traffic control plans in accordance with Construction Regulation 213/91, municipal requirements, and MTO Book 7Advise on and develop site-specific safe work procedures and job hazard analysis for high-risk tasksComplete full investigations and follow up implementation of corrective actions for various types of incidents (near misses, medical injuries, critical injuries)Liaison with MLITSD representatives during site visits and ensure timely compliance with MLITSD ordersAssist with full implementation and maintenance of health & safety management systems (including COR) on construction projectsWe seek individuals who are:Critical thinkers with the ability to be client-focusedExcellent time management and organizational skills.
