Jr. IT Operations Specialist Direct message the job poster from Inkeros Reports to: Chief Information and Technology Officer Position Summary Inkeros is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to manage and maintain our core technology systems and provide high-quality support to our internal users. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of IT assets, system maintenance, and enduser support. This role is designed as a growthtrack position. The ideal candidate will master foundational IT operations with the express goal of developing into a senior role through structured mentorship and projectbased experience. Responsibilities 1. IT Support and EndUser Services Serve as the point of contact for technical support requests, addressing hardware, software, and network issues. Manage the IT support ticketing system, ensuring tickets are resolved and documented in a timely manner. Develop and maintain the internal knowledge base with technical documentation and user guides. Conduct IT onboarding and training for new employees. 2. Systems Setup and Maintenance Provision, configure, and deploy employee endpoints (laptops, mobile devices) using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms. Assist in the administration of core business applications, such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Perform routine system maintenance, security patching, and software updates across servers and endpoints to ensure system integrity. 3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex or recurring technical issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and remediate underlying problems. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (VPN, WiFi, LAN). 4. Inventory Management and Procurement Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning. Maintain an accurate inventory of all company hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assist in developing and implementing automation scripts for inventory and asset management. Qualifications and Experience Required Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in an IT support or systems administration role. Strong understanding of modern operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with identity management systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Proven analytical and problemsolving skills with a high degree of curiosity. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Familiarity with a scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or virtualization technologies. Basic understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
