Job Title: Project and Program Manager -FinanceLocation: Toronto , ONWork Mode: Hybrid - 3 daysContract : 4 monthsPossibility of Extension & Conversion into FulltimeJob Description: Clients Scale business unit is seeking a highly organized and certified Finance Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives across joint ventures, monetization, mergers, divestitures, and capital markets projects. Direct experience leading projects in these areas is essential. The ideal candidate will bring a robust finance background, preferably as a qualified CPA or equivalent alongside proven expertise in project management, outstanding organizational skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach that aligns with best practice project management methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end management of strategic xScale JV finance impacting projects, ensuring structured planning, disciplined execution, and timely delivery of all milestonesDrive execution of corporate development Joint venture initiatives, refinancing and capital markets transactions by collaborating closely with treasury and capital markets teams, ensuring project activities are coordinated, milestones are met, and deliverables are completed on schedule.Establish and enforce clear project governance, tracking mechanisms, ensuring all decisions, deliverables, and dependencies are properly documented and monitoredCoordinate and oversee comprehensive due diligence activities across financial, tax, legal, and operational workstreams, collaborating closely with internal teams and external advisors ensuring all documentation is organized and maintained within the due diligence repositoryDrive rigorous coordination and follow-up across internal teams, external advisors, and stakeholders to maintain momentum and accountabilityDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk registers, ensuring transparency and proactive issue managementDevelop and manage detailed resource plans for multiple initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization, and proactively identifying and addressing resource constraintsPlan and manage cutover activities to ensure a seamless transition and readiness for transaction closeEngage proactively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication of project objectives, progress, risks, and outcomes to drive alignment and support successful project deliveryProvide clear, concise, and consistent communication to stakeholders, including regular executive-level reporting and updates.Apply recognized project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, PMI, PRINCE2) to ensure structure, rigor, and consistency across all initiatives Qualifications and Experience10+ years of project management experience in corporate development or capital markets environmentsCPA qualification or equivalent professional accounting designation is highly preferredEssential: Proven experience managing projects in joint ventures, monetization, capital markets, and divestituresDemonstrated experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, or operations prior to moving into project management is highly desirable.Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, advisors, and workstreams with precision, structure, and proactive follow-upKnowledge of due diligence processes, including tax and financial components.Experience collaborating with external advisors, including investment banks, legal counsel, tax advisors, and consultantsProficient in use of Planning Tools e.g. Smartsheet, MS projects, Jira etc.Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProject Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is requiredDexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
