Field Service Technician II CAN 3 Months -Contract to Hire Work Location: Ottawa Ontario CAN K1G 4K1 Description: This position requires a candidate who is bilingual in English & French. This position requires eligibility for a Top Secret level government security investigation. As a Field Technician II, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining laptop, desktop and printer support for end users and clients. A valid passport and drivers license and vehicle are required. This role reports into the Field Services Manager. Responsibilities: Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required Basic tasks: Deskside software support High end printer and multi-function laser component level repair Server component level hardware repair and software restore Network device replacement/ configuration Basic network troubleshooting Smart Hands Qualifications: Requires experience in the field or in a related area; familiar with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and procedures Able to perform call-management in a Real-Time-Reporting environment Able to work independently & with limited supervision Excellent verbal & written skills Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
