With offices across Canada, we leverage the experience of our 250+ Kasian team members to deliver innovative and unique design solutions in multiple market sectors: commercial, workplace, healthcare, senior living, industrial, transportation, post-secondary and other public opportunities.The Opportunity:We are seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Project Architect to complement our Vancouver office, where we are involved in exciting work across a range of building types, including commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, hospitality, public buildings, and healthcare. You will provide design leadership on various projects and may oversee the entire design process, or assist as a technical expert on specialized design and act as a design resource for specific components of projects. You may work on several concurrent projects of varying sizes, including those that are large and complex. Assist in the education and development of design staff. High-Rise and Senior Living Projects are essential.Here's what youll be doing at Kasian:Work with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for private sector clientsDevelop project criteria, the scope of services, detailed work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource (staff, technical, and budget) requirements over the project lifecyclePush the boundaries of design while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings, create design concepts and presentation materialLead, motivate, and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentationCoordinate with project consultants (ie. electrical, mechanical, structural)Resolve complex design and technical issuesManage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project processEnsure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and by achieving scheduled milestonesUndertake site reviews and construction administrationHeres what you bring to Kasian:B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program, coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in high-rise and senior living projects.Registration with a provincial regulatory boardEffective written and oral communication skillsExperience leading projects of at least $25m (construction value) with minimal supervisionAn innovative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current with new trends, materials, and construction methodsStrong technical knowledge and technical drawing experience in RevitExcellent graphic communication and presentation skillsAn ability to add value to all stages of project deliverySalary starts at $100,000+ per annum, based on a 40-hour work week.
