Your new companyHays Construction & Development is partnered with one of the largest and most respected ICI GC's in Canada to recruit for a MEP Project Manager job in Halifax, Nova Scotia!Your new roleAs the Building Systems Project Manager, you will coordinate with your own staff and outside subtrades to efficiently keep this project on track. This is one of the largest projects in the region and will continue on for several years to come. This is your chance to shape the future of healthcare facilities while working on a complex, high-profile P3 project alongside industry-leading professionals.Your day-to-day role will involve owning the lifecycle of building systemsfrom design coordination to commissioning. You will mentor and lead two Building Systems Coordinators while managing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC subcontractors. Working alongside other professionals, you will act as the technical authority for building systems, collaborating with utilities and trade partners. You will oversee quality, schedule, and constructability for all building systems components.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this vital role, you should have at least 710 years of progressive experience in mechanical/electrical construction. You must also have strong knowledge of building systems principles, codes, and contract administration and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplinesmechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and structural. You should have proven leadership skills and experience managing subcontractors and complex deliverables.
