Join us and help build a greener future.Opportunities are based out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with province-wide travel required to meet client needs.Responsibilities This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heat pumps and related HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety and customer satisfaction. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including heat pumps, and air conditioning systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration and HVAC equipmentPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performanceHandle refrigerants safely and in compliance with environmental regulationsComply with all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.Collaborate with electricians and other trades to ensure proper system integrationRead and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer specificationsCommunicate effectively and professionally with clients to explain issues, solutions, and maintenance recommendationsOversee and mentor apprentices, ensuring safe work practices, adherence to electrical codes, and the development of technical skills in a supportive learning environmentMaintain accurate service records and documentationTravel to job sites across the province, including remote locations, as requiredQualifications, skills and experienceCertified Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (required)Minimum 1 year experience as a Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic (required).Valid Gas Fitters ticket (preferred)Valid Provincial Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving recordStrong knowledge of residential codes and practicesAbility to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writingProven problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively under tight deadlinesValid Provincial Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving recordWillingness and ability to travel, including to remote sitesCompensation & Benefits:We offer a supportive and hands-on work environment where your technical expertise can thrive and grow across HVAC and refrigeration service fields.
