Job Description: Salesforce Functional SME (B2B) Role Summary The Salesforce Functional SME (B2B) is responsible for leading the functional design, configuration, and delivery of Salesforce B2B solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce implementations across B2B Commerce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and related integrations. Key Responsibilities Functional Leadership Act as the primary subject matter expert for Salesforce B2B capabilities (Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, , Partner Communities, Experience Cloud). Lead requirements gathering workshops , business process mapping, and solution design discussions. Translate business needs into detailed user stories , acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Ensure solution design aligns with Salesforce best practices and platform limits. Solution Design & Configuration Configure Salesforce objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts, profiles, permission sets, and B2B Commerce features. Design B2B processes such as account hierarchies, price books, quoting, product catalogs, cart/checkout flows, and order management . Support data modeling, system architecture decisions, and integration requirements. Project Delivery Collaborate with developers on Apex, integration, APIs, Lightning components , and data migrations. Lead functional testing: test scenario creation, UAT support, and defect triage. Define release plans, support deployment activities, and ensure smooth go-lives. Governance & Stakeholder Management Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and product owners. Provide training, documentation, and change-management support for end-users. Ensure compliance with security, data quality, and governance standards. Continuous Improvement Recommend enhancements to improve user experience and process efficiency. Stay updated with Salesforce releases and recommend adoption of new features. Required Qualifications 510 years of Salesforce functional experience; at least 3+ years in Salesforce B2B (B2B Commerce lightning ,sales cloud ,service cloud). Strong understanding of Quote ,Order , Invoice lifecycle. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment. Proficient in writing user stories , BRDs, FRDs, test cases. Ability to work with architects, developers, QA, and business teams. Preferred Skills Salesforce certifications such as: Salesforce Certified Administrator Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Salesforce B2B Commerce Administrator/Developer CPQ Specialist (if relevant) Experience with ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.). Understanding of complex B2B price models, contract management , and order orchestration.
