Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer in Training to support the delivery of complex Ports and Marine Terminals projects across British Columbia. The role offers handson experience contributing to all phases of project execution including planning and design while developing core structural engineering technical competencies pertaining to marine infrastructure. Your Key Responsibilities Provide structural EIT support to engineers on varying sized projects. Assist in reviewing drawings, drafting technical reports, memorandums and other technical documents. Conduct material quantity takeoffs, analysis/calculations, hand sketches, CAD drafting, and other EIT support tasks. Perform contract administration, coordination, contract development and other contract support tasks. Support Project Manager(s) / Director(s) in project delivery through initiation, planning, execution, monitor and control, and closeout activities and other PM support tasks. Participate and coordinate project team activities and interact effectively with clients, contractors, engineers, project managers, and other consultants. Coordinate and participate in technical proposal writing and other business development activities. Assist with the preparation and distribution of high quality, accurate and timely documents such as agendas, reports, minutes, communication logs, change management, and other required documentation. Travel to project sites may be required from time to time. Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong computer skills and proficiency in scheduling, technical writing, presentations, and other software including MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project. Strong understanding of engineering design. Experience with structural analysis tools including SAP2000. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. General understanding of a project lifecycle including design and construction processes and requirements. Excellent organizational skills, time management, and problemsolving abilities. Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and technical documentation. Experience in risk management is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments. Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently. Education and Experience Bachelors degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering or related field. 13 years of relevant work experience in a professional environment. Pay Range Locations in Lower Mainland BC Min Salary $67,100.00 Max Salary $93,900.00 Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for parttime roles will be prorated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
