Overview The Field Service Engineer/Specialist is responsible for leading or participating in the installation and maintenance of ARTMS equipment from planning to customer acceptance. The role includes performing electromechanical installations, equipment and process qualifications, preventative maintenance, and service at customer facilities, as well as providing customer training and technical support. Onthejob training will be provided, as will continued access to subjectmatter experts. The position works closely with Sales, Operations and Finance to deliver services within our ISO9001certified Quality Management System. Key Accountabilities Field work/Technical Support Maintain professionalism in all interactions with customers and partners. Lead or participate in installation, preventative maintenance, and technical service projects at customer sites from initiation to acceptance. Execute qualification procedures and generate installation/service reports. Train customers and ARTMS team members to use and maintain equipment, set up automated radiochemical separations, and perform quality control procedures. Maintain tools and tool kits in good working order. Perform site evaluations at potential customer facilities. Provide aftersales virtual and/or onsite technical support and troubleshooting as necessary. Record generation/keeping Maintain uptodate customer/equipment databases including logging changes and tracking field service activity. Document lessons learned to support continual improvement of ARTMS products, processes and documentation, including sharing customer feedback in line with our Quality Management System. Assist with creating and maintaining field servicerelated documentation, tool lists, tool sets, spare parts lists, etc. Quality management Assist with incoming materials inspections. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline or technical diploma with relevant experience. 3+ years of relevant mechatronic or electrical systems experience. Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, safe chemical/radiochemical handling for setting up automated radiochemical purification and quality control. Experience with installation and commissioning of systems, troubleshooting control systems. Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics, circuit drawings, P&ID, etc. Use of inspection tools, power tools and hand tools. Familiarity with power distribution circuits. Team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision. Extended hours and shift work will be required occasionally, particularly during installation. Must be willing to be designated a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW). Travel (up to 60%), including international, will be required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Experience Knowledge of cyclotron hardware, with a heavy emphasis on targetry and target stations. Technical knowledge of radioisotope production, radiochemical separation processes, and typical radioisotope quality control procedures (radioTLC, HPLC, endotoxin, etc.). Experience working in radioactive environments. Knowledge and experience working within cGMP and/or ISO9001 standards. Preference may go to a candidate with language abilities in French, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Portuguese, Korean, German, Swedish, Russian or another language.
