Criteria such as the candidates qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your Challenge:Engineer, Design, Develop and Test new embedded hardware at the forefront of technologySupport and enhance existing embedded hardwareApply established development processes and assist in process improvementAnalyze requirements, research and identify solutions and develop the designGenerate complete and accurate user and design documentationProvide input to architecture and design reviewsProvide input and evaluation of new technologies and productsKeep current with embedded hardware trends and share knowledgeContribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for productsParticipate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the teamWhat you Bring:Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent5+ years Board level development and hands on lab experience (Co-Op experience is applicable)Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:Experience working with a multi-disciplined teamFamiliar with a product development processFamiliar with hardware test equipment logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity conceptsDesign capture tools (preferably Mentor Graphics)Requirements capture, analysis and trackingHobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or ArduinoFamiliarity with FPGAsA passion for following the latest trends in the world of computingA driven and motivated self-starter with a keen interest to learnA strong understanding of electronics and engineering principals and application to real world use.A strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlinesStrong debug and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and written communication skillsResults-oriented team player who leads by example, holds themselves accountable for performance, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and champions process improvement initiativesWho We Are:Our ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceAt our world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario, we manufacture rugged products optimized for high-mix, high quality and small batch sizes typical of military requirements.
