Lead Applied Scientist Applied AI & NLP - $200 - 230k - hybrid (3 days in office) Are you passionate about building AI systems that make a real-world impact? We''re looking for a Lead Applied Scientist to join an advanced research and development team working at the cutting edge of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Retrieval (IR) , and Generative AI . This role is ideal for someone who thrives on rapid learning and cross-functional collaboration, bringing a GenAI/agentic problem-solving approach and the ability to design end-to-end solutions quickly in highly interactive workshop settings, rather than working in deep silos for months at a time. What You''ll Do Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions from concept to production. Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to align innovation with business value. Translate complex research into scalable, real-world applications. Guide and mentor other scientists and engineers, fostering technical excellence. Stay current with emerging research and technologies in NLP, IR, and generative AI. Contribute to the company''s AI strategy and thought leadership, including participation in top research conferences (ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, etc.). What We''re Looking For PhD or Master''s degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years'' hands-on experience developing NLP / IR systems for commercial use. Proven ability to architect and build end-to-end machine learning solutions. Strong programming and software engineering skills (Python preferred). Experience scaling AI prototypes into production environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners.
