Position Details: Position: Full-Time Patrol Officer Site: Credit Valley Hospital | 2200 Eglinton Avenue West, Mississauga Averaging Agreement :Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Hours: Rotating Continental / Payrate: $18.46 / an hour Posting Date: October 10, 2025 Internal Closing Date: October 17, 2025 External Closing Date: October 24, 2025 Key Responsibilities: Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations. Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. Collaboration with Hospital Staff: Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved. Enforce Hospital Policies: Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) Covid Vaccine two doses Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred. Diploma in Justice studies/police foundations is considered an asset. Vulnerable Sector Check - to be completed upon hire Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin''s UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability Legally authorized to work in Canada Why choose Paladin?
