Fantastic and supportive work environment, great benefits and rewarding career Responsibilities Maintain a clean and orderly childcare centre including classrooms, bathrooms and kitchen Daily cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping Heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls/mirrors and removing garbage Seasonal, routine maintenance activities such as leaf pick up, salting the side walk, cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalk General maintenance including mechanical equipment and kitchen equipment Complete maintenance and repair logs, complete daily health and safety checks and notify management of any need for repairs Build materials, put together shelves, toys and boards as requested Steam chairs and carpets once a week Attend and participate in health and safety meetings Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time Specifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized and punctual Strong collaboration skills and a team player Proactive in matters relating to health and safety Comfortable working with various cleaning materials such as bleach Qualifications Ability to lift up to 40lbs Valid Standard (Infant/Child) First Aid and CPR Level C Health and Safety Certificate Shift 6:00am-3:00pm (Monday-Friday) Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal reference check (within the last six months) Our commitment to an inclusive and accessible workplace ensures that all individuals have the opportunity to thrive.
