Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales and Events Manager to lead our event planning, sales initiatives, and customer engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans, managing client relationships, and coordinating a variety of events to enhance our brand presence. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality and event management. The Sales and Events Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth through effective upselling, negotiation, and strategic event promotion. KEY DUTIES Drive top-line revenue Attract new business Maximize booked events and building outside catering Main client contact for event workflow, from lead to completion. Respond to client emails within 1 business day, aiming for an empty inbox daily, with coverage as needed. Diligent management of the event calendar is required to avoid double bookings while maximizing the number of events. Assist in Brewpub operations with opening and closing daily business twice a week Develop sales plan for events and brewery products Provide complete details to key team members within brand standard timelines Promptly issue detailed, accurate billing and urgently collect payments post-event. Work with GM/CEO on marketing campaigns, asset creation and proofing Reports to the GM/CEO on team/environmental operational issues, proposing timely, sustainable solutions Complete weekly schedules that align with forecasts and labor targets Enforce service standards and ensure guest satisfaction Uphold all quality standards related to all food and drink Accurate reporting of sales and labor numbers Assist in approving all new hires and training paths Ongoing training and development of team members Enter accurate KPIs weekly related to events Conduct weekly BEO meetings with all key team members Ensure daily team compliance with provincial and local health authority safety and sanitation standards Handle team and client concerns when required and escalate as needed Timely ordering and reasonable stocking of FOH inventory (liquor, wine, beer, smallwares, bar consumables, non-alcoholic beverages) based on usage Ensure deliveries arrive on time and all items are accounted for and properly stored ADDITIONAL DUTIES Implement all policies, procedures, marketing, or any other directives outlined by GM/CEO Ensure effective and timely pre-shift Maintain daily log entry via Push Place weekly linen orders to ensure all items arrive in time Order drink tickets as needed Work weekly schedule established by CEO with minimal deviations Occasional graphic design Attend off-site events looking for new business opportunities Maintain vendor relationships Provide accurate and thorough financial reporting on as needed basis Organize community tasting events at independent liquor stores Lead presence at Food and Beverage festivals Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Experience: Hospitality: 5 years (required) Sales: 2 years (required) Location: Edmonton, AB T6E 5T7 (required) Work Location: In person
