Job Overview We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice on Saturdays 9am-2pm. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly valued. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent customer service. Duties Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix or Epic Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, transfer calls, and take messages accurately Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly Collect payments and process billing using dental office management software Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient care delivery Handle front desk responsibilities including managing waiting areas and providing excellent customer service Qualifications Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment preferred Proficiency with dental management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office equipment such as multi-line phone systems Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing Previous office experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous Familiarity with front desk operations, administrative procedures, and customer service excellence This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
