We are currently looking for a BUSINESS ANALYST to join our dynamic team at BMW and Subaru dealerships as well as other businesses. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our business objectives, strategies and action plans, using data analysis and process improvement techniques to enhance our operations within the unique context of the automotive industry. This role requires a proactive problem-solver adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Service, Parts and Collision Centre departments. Key Responsibilities Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze end-to-end dealership workflows, from lead generation and sales pipelines to service bay efficiency and parts inventory management. Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance throughput and profitability. KPI Tracking and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (using tools like Excel, or dealership-specific reporting tools) to track critical metrics (e.g., gross profit margins, inventory turn rates, effective labour rates, NPS scores). F&I and Sales Support: Analyze finance performance metrics, evaluate product penetration rates, and identify opportunities for streamlining the deal jacket process and maximizing F&I revenue compliant with local regulations. System Implementation and Training: Assist in the selection, testing, implementation, and training of new dealership tools, software, solutions, and technology upgrades, ensuring smooth adoption by staff. Inventory and Parts Analysis: Collaborate with the Parts Manager and Sales Managers to analyze inventory levels, identify stock gaps or overages, and optimize ordering processes to meet demand efficiently. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytical techniques to interpret large datasets, produce analytic reports, and identify emerging industry trends that could impact business operations. Project Management Support: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Experience: Minimum 5 years'' experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a fast-paced retail environment. Automotive Experience: Prior hands-on experience working within a car dealership setting is highly preferred. Must understand dealership departmental interactions. Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Hands-on experience with Reynolds & Reynolds DMS is an asset. Effective time management skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
