Medical Receptionist (F/T permanent) Derma Skin Institute Guelph, ON In-person Job Summary Derma Skin Institute is a dermatology medical practice. We are seeking a professional, courteous, and competent medical receptionist to work in the office, full-time, under the direction of the physicians and office manager. Requirements: Courteous, patient, professional, team player who is able to multitask in a busy medical practice Well spoken with exceptional interpersonal and telephone communication skills Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) ex. OSCAR, Pabau, Accuro Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required Previous reception experience is preferred but not required Well organized, detail oriented and hard-working Efficiency within a fast-paced environment Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills Excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment Ability to thrive in a team environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Willingness to take initiative Knowledge of skincare and skincare products Sales experience preferred Proficient in Windows 11 operating system Proficient with Google Drive and Google Docs Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Education: Diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent is preferred Experience: minimum 1 year experience in medical reception/office administration is an asset Duties will include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients in a courteous and efficient manner Answering busy phone lines and taking detailed messages Communicating with patients and doctor''s offices by phone, fax, email Communicating with team members using inter-office messaging system Managing patient clinic flow using an automated messaging system Booking patient appointments and procedures Liaising with patients in a professional and compassionate manner Offering skincare products/services as recommended by the healthcare practitioner Processing payments for non-OHIP products and services using Moneris Maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality policies Maintaining patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information Scanning and faxing of patient information and reports Follow up with both incoming and outgoing referrals, laboratory reports, pathology reports, and prescription renewal requests Monitoring and maintaining inventory of office supplies Monitoring inventory levels of skin care products General office organization and administrative duties as assigned by the physicians or office manager Assisting staff with cleaning and turn-over of patient rooms Preparing and stocking exam rooms daily Walking patients to and from exam rooms We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
