Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the Controls Systems engineering team on complex aerospace programs. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in aerospace engineering, and proven leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams through development programs in compliance with DO-178B/C, DO-254, and ARP4754 standards. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project execution from planning to delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality objectives, while proactively managing risks and driving corrective actions.Location: Mississauga, Ontario Job Type: Hybrid Contract Type: Project-based (Full-Time)KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate design and development activities within the test functions to address customer requirementsManage the program plan, including scope, schedule, cost, technical aspects, resources, and risksEstablish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedulesLead the solution definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation & verification, and introduction to production and qualification labsTrack and report program progress, costs, risks, and milestonesLead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetingsEnsure compliance with Aerospace Engineering ProcessesYOU MUST HAVEBachelors degree in Electrical EngineeringElectronicsMinimum of 5 years of engineering experience in electronics in an aerospace environment or transportation industryMinimum of 3 years in project management, including baseline management, earned value reporting, and computer-based scheduling and reporting toolsWE VALUEExperience with Test Engineering Design ProcessesProven track record in developing test software and hardwareProactive and self-driven individuals who take initiative and deliver resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assemble facts, analyze data, and provide informed recommendationsAbility to effectively use data to make intelligent decisionsWorking knowledge of DO-160, MIL-810PMP Certificate (Project Management Professional)Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills in a global team environmentStrong management operating system that facilitates communicationAttention to detail and strong problem-solving skillsExperience with Agile methodology project execution is a plusCandidates should be eligible to work on US defense and space projects.Please note:Interested applicants must apply directly to the employer to be considered for this position: subject of the email should be Sr Project Engineer'.
