Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join their team on a 1-year contract in Edmonton.Responsibilities General DutiesKeeping the warehouse clean and organizedLook for improvement opportunities and grow and flex as the processes at the facility develop Responsible for Data Integrity for the Maximo Inventory StoreroomWork in conjunction with facilities inventory buyerCommunication with all stakeholders as requiredOperate material handling equipment as requiredOther duties as assignedShipping and ReceivingResponsible for offloading & loading of trucksReceiving & inspecting materials when they come in, putting away in proper bin locations and/or shelvesReceiving materials into Maximo with all applicable informationReceive goods from carriers throughout the dayVisual inspect shipments for damage, and accept by signing Bill of Lading, Packing SlipAssisting with shipping items to repair locations and returning stock to VendorsInvolvement in material transfers between the facilitiesInventory ControlTimely Cycle Counts (ABC Analysis)Keeping up to Date/Real-time Inventory Data in the systemKeeping Item Vendor/Manufacturer Information updatedWork with the Facility SME to determine Re-Order PointsWork with the Facility SME/Leadership to determine if an item should be stocked in inventory or notManagement of critical spares and spare partsMaintain Where Used data within MaximoCoordinate with internal and external stakeholder for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)Inventory AllocationStaging, Kitting and Issuing Inventory request based on Facilities demandRunning the Inventory Re-order within MaximoQUALIFICATIONS5+ years of warehouse experience.Valid Class 5 Drivers license with clean driving recordDriving abstract may be requiredPrevious experience within Supply Chain in a warehouse setting would be an asset.Previous exposure to Maximo or other ERP systems.Ability to build and maintain relationships with various internal stakeholders including Operations, Maintenance, Management and Engineering.Comfortable working with a team that shares work and responsibility for the success of the operation.Self-directed and motivated while complying to with policies and procedures.Ability to prioritize and organize to meet shifting daily demands based on operations.Ability to respond consistently with a high degree of initiative, to have an analytical ability to resolve issues and complex problems.
