Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Full-Stack Developer based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Canada. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that support organizational operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing responsive web interfaces, implementing scalable backend services, and ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side systems. You will work across the full stack using React/Angular, Node.js, Python, REST APIs, Firebase/Cloud Functions , and modern relational and NoSQL databases. You will contribute to feature development, system architecture, and product planning, not just implementation, while collaborating closely with product, operations, and technology teams. Key Responsibilities Front-End Development Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React and/or Angular Create reusable components with TypeScript Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs Collaborate with UI/UX to implement clean, modern designs Ensure good performance, accessibility, and cross device compatibility Back-End & APIs Develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (Express) Use Python for scripts, integrations, and automation Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices Integrate internal systems and third-party APIs (payments, CRM, ERP) Cloud & Data Work with cloud backend services such as Firebase or similar platforms Use serverless functions (Firebase/Google Cloud Functions or similar) Monitor, debug, and optimize cloud/serverless workflows Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Firebase) Write efficient queries and support data model design General Engineering & Collaboration Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions Collaborate with Product, Operations, and QA teams Troubleshoot production issues and maintain system stability Follow Git workflows and CI/CD best practices Requirements 35 years of professional full-stack development experience Strong experience with React and/or Angular Proficiency with Node.js and Express Experience using Python for scripting, APIs, or automation Hands-on experience with Firebase or similar cloud services Comfortable with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB Experience designing and consuming REST APIs Familiarity with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of system architecture Product-minded with attention to usability and business needs Bonus Points Experience with childcare, education tech, SIS/LMS, or attendance systems Strong TypeScript skills Experience with Docker, Cloud Run, or Kubernetes Experience with Jest, Mocha, PyTest, or similar frameworks React Native or mobile experience Experience with GCP or Azure Experience with FileMaker or low-code platforms Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to manage tasks independently Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ownership mindset and follow-through Collaborative and open to feedback Our Technical Stack Front-End: React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript Back-End: Node.js (Express), Python, FileMaker Cloud: Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, serverless functions Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Firebase APIs: REST APIs, CRM/ERP integrations Tools: Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum workflows What We Offer Salary: CAD $80,000$90,000 , commensurate with experience Company events Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Tuition reimbursement Vision care Wellness program
