Director of Finance - Real Estate - 3-6 Months Employment Type Contract Location North York, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Key Responsibilities: - Lead the setup and optimization of accounting processes for complex real estate structures. - Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with public company standards. - Manage full cycle accounting, including consolidations, reconciliations, and system integrations. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members while remaining actively engaged in daytoday execution. TMGCT Job Requirements: - Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Accounting or Finance. - Professional designation (CPA or equivalent). - Extensive real estate industry experience, ideally with exposure to largescale portfolios. - Experience with Real Estate asset accounting and reporting. - Public reporting expertise, with a track record of preparing and filing financial statements under IFRS/GAAP. - Strong systems knowledge, including ERP platforms; prior involvement in a system implementation or upgrade is ideal. - Advanced MS Office and MS Excel Skills. - Proven ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Collaborative, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
