As a Casual Corporate Security Guard, there is a high focus on desk duties, scheduled patrolling and customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a high profile corporate environment. What's in it for you? - Hourly wage of $15.75 - $16.11 per hour - We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy - Flexible schedules with various shifts available - Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld - Uniform provided at no cost - We do not qualify for the SINP Responsibilities for Casual Corporate Security Guard - Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone. - Control access at entry and exit points using electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises. - Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order. - Monitor and document all security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed. - Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure. - Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders. - Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times. - Protect client assets against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive. - Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns. - Foster positive staff relationships and act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response. Qualifications for Casual Corporate Security Guard - Be authorized to work in Canada. - Hold a valid Manitoba security license. - First aid certification an asset. - Must be flexible and pick open shifts and assist vacation coverage shifts. - Proficient in basic phone & computer skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Previous experience as a Security guard in a high profile site (asset). - Leadership and problemsolving skills.
