About the Role - The Principal Product Designer is a key role at Quandri, responsible for establishing design as a strategic function and creating exceptional user experiences across our entire product suite. You will play a crucial part in defining the design vision and strategy for AI-first products that transform complex insurance workflows into intuitive digital experiences. - Reporting to the VP Product, you will lead design strategy across crossfunctional teams including engineering, product management, marketing, and customer success. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in building our design organization from the ground up, pioneering AIpowered user experiences, and establishing Quandri as a designforward company in the Insurtech space. What youll do - Define and communicate the overall design vision and strategy that aligns with Quandris business goals and AIfirst approach. - Lead the endtoend design process from research to implementation, including user research, design system creation, and crossfunctional collaboration. - Design groundbreaking AIpowered user experiences that feel intuitive, trustworthy, and transformative for insurance professionals. - Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership to ensure timely and highquality design implementation. - Establish user research practices and customer feedback loops to inform strategic design decisions. - Define and track key design metrics to measure success and drive business outcomes. - Pioneer design patterns for cuttingedge AI/ML features including confidence indicators, explainability, and humanAI collaboration. - Provide guidance and actively develop the skills of fellow designers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration as our team grows. - Serve as the senior design voice within the company, ensuring a userfirst mindset across all product decisions and partnering with leadership on strategy and company direction. The right person for this role will have - 8+ years of product design experience, with significant leadership experience in B2B SaaS products at senior IC level. - Proven track record of building design systems from scratch and scaling design functions at highgrowth, venturebacked companies. - Strong experience designing AIpowered products, with good understanding of machine learning workflows, conversational interfaces, and intelligent automation. - Demonstrated ability to design complex, enterpriselevel interfaces and transform complicated workflows into intuitive experiences. - Advanced user research and analytical skills with experience driving strategic design decisions through data. - Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills, with ability to align executive teams and drive organizational change. - Experience building and leading highperforming design teams in fastpaced, ambiguous environments. - Portfolio demonstrating strategic systems thinking and ability to create consistency across multiple complex products. - Track record of driving measurable business impact through design. Bonus points if you have - Experience designing AIfirst products, LLM interfaces, or machine learning applications from 01. - Background in fintech, Insurtech, or other highly regulated industries. - Experience with workflow automation, or enterprise software design. - Experience working directly with executive teams on product strategy. Compensation and benefits $175,000 - $215,000 a year - Base pay $175,000 to $215,000 CAD depending on level of experience and performance. - Enhanced employee stock options reflecting senior role. - Comprehensive health benefits, including Lifestyle Spending Account. - Four weeks of paid vacation per year. - Work anywhere in the world for 60 days of the year. - Parental leave topups: 6 months for birthing parents, 8 weeks for nonbirthing parents (up to $100,000 annual salary).
