As a Director within PwCs Chief Data Analytic Office (CDAO), you will lead the modernization and implementation of the enterprise data platform, including Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. There will also be a data governance technology implementation of Collibra, which will need to be integrated with Databricks and Fabric following Data Governance taxonomies and guidance. You will be responsible for implementing these new technologies, driving digital transformation, and working collaboratively with the CDAO Data Engineering & Architecture team. Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving AI enablement, business growth, shaping the direction of data and transformation, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. You are expected to be a guardian of PwC's reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion and a commercial mindset are all foundational to our success. The ideal candidate must be capable of rapidly standingup new technologies from scratch and driving execution with speed and precision. Given the current project delays, the Director must be proactive, resultsoriented, and able to lead teams in highpressure environments to meet aggressive timelines. Responsibilities - Lead endtoend implementation of Microsoft Fabric and Databricks for enterprisescale data solutions - Integrate Collibra with Databricks and Fabric to enable advanced data governance aligned with firmwide taxonomies - Champion adoption of a modern data stack and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement - Drive digital transformation initiatives, accelerating technology implementation and execution - Collaborate across crossfunctional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions - Develop and present Proof of Concepts and technical demos to validate data platform capabilities - Mentor and inspire the next generation of data and technology leaders within the CDAO - Promote an environment where people and technology thrive together - Uphold and enforce professional, technical, and ethical standards in all project delivery - Foster a healthy, inclusive working environment and maximize leader and enduser satisfaction Experiences and skills youll use to solve - Experience in software development, including architecting Azurebased data solutions - Proven expertise in Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Data Factory, and Python - Experience implementing data governance with Collibra and data integration/analytics with Microsoft Fabric - Strong knowledge of eventdriven architecture and modern data platform design - Demonstrated leadership in technology adoption, innovation, and digital transformation - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach - Ability to rapidly standup new technologies and lead teams under aggressive timelines - Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big picture and detailed execution - Adherence to professional and technical standards, and PwCs code of conduct and independence - Experience with Azure ML/MLOps, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, or PreSales Architecture is a nice to have - PwC Canada is committed to cultivating an inclusive, hybrid work environment.
