We are seeking an Engineering Group Manager to lead a team focused on calibration & validation of embedded software and systems in the Body Controls domain. In this role, you will lead a team of talented engineers in delivering calibrations for multiple GM vehicle programs and owning the endtoend quality and testing of the body controls vehicle communication infrastructure space. You and your team will work crossfunctionally across product, program, and systems partners to ensure robust development, integration and testing of highquality, productionready software that supports both our current portfolio and our allelectric future. What Youll do - Provide technical leadership and vision in the Body Controls domains of vehicle communication infrastructure, driving engineering excellence and adherence to best practices - Develop and execute forwardlooking calibration and test strategies aligned with customer needs and GMs transformation into a techdriven mobility company - Demonstrate strategic insight into emerging vehicle architecture, helping shape longterm vision and innovation through test automation - Leverage Agile methodologies to accelerate innovation, enhance team velocity, and deliver highquality calibration on time at scale - Build and nurture a highperforming team focused on capability growth, technical development, and talent retention - Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement - Work with multiple crossfunctional teams and collaborate in functional testing, performance tracking, and alignment with program milestones and quality standards - Engage in test architecture and strategy, critically evaluate existing approaches, and provide architectural guidance as needed - Model and champion GM's values and behaviors in everything you do Who You Are - A technical leader with a strong background in embedded software and vehicle systems with special emphasis on Testing at Unit, Integration, System and Feature level. - Skilled at navigating ambiguity and change in a fastpaced business & software development environment - Passionate about mentoring and growing engineers while pushing the technical boundaries of what's possible - Forwardthinking and excited about the role technology plays in redefining the future of mobility Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field - Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience related to embedded control systems, calibrations and testing (eg: C programming, software/hardware debugging tools, CAN/LIN/ethernet network protocols, Jira, Git ecosystem) - Demonstrated experience leading crossfunctional calibration or test teams through all phases of software development, from concept to deployment, in an Agile environment - Strong ability to drive results through collaboration, manage multiple projects with varying priorities, and measure work using data and key performance indicators - Strong crossfunctional leadership and communication skills; able to align multiple teams toward a common goal - Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery - Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive timely, informed decisionmaking - Valid drivers license with ability to operate test vehicles What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills) - Masters degree in Engineering and/or an MBA - Experience leading the development and implementation of industry standards in embedded systems. - Skilled in aligning team objectives with organizational goals and driving execution excellence. - Proven ability to define and implement comprehensive test strategies, architect scalable test solutions, and champion automation across the testing pyramid (unit, integration, system, and acceptance levels). - Adept at fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Background in safety and regulatory compliance for embedded systems. - Experience managing globally distributed teams.
