Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join their team on a 1-year contract in Edmonton. Responsibilities - General Duties - Keeping the warehouse clean and organized - Look for improvement opportunities and grow and flex as the processes at the facility develop - Responsible for Data Integrity for the Maximo Inventory Storeroom - Work in conjunction with facilities inventory buyer - Communication with all stakeholders as required - Operate material handling equipment as required - Other duties as assigned - Shipping and Receiving - Responsible for offloading & loading of trucks - Receiving & inspecting materials when they come in, putting away in proper bin locations and/or shelves - Receiving materials into Maximo with all applicable information - Receive goods from carriers throughout the day - Visual inspect shipments for damage, and accept by signing Bill of Lading, Packing Slip - Assisting with shipping items to repair locations and returning stock to Vendors - Involvement in material transfers between the facilities - Inventory Control - Timely Cycle Counts (ABC Analysis) - Keeping up to Date/Real-time Inventory Data in the system - Keeping Item Vendor/Manufacturer Information updated - Work with the Facility SME to determine Re-Order Points - Work with the Facility SME/Leadership to determine if an item should be stocked in inventory or not - Management of critical spares and spare parts - Maintain Where Used data within Maximo - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) - Inventory Allocation - Staging, Kitting and Issuing Inventory request based on Facilities demand - Running the Inventory Re-order within Maximo QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of warehouse experience. - Valid Class 5 Drivers license with clean driving record - Driving abstract may be required - Previous experience within Supply Chain in a warehouse setting would be an asset. - Previous exposure to Maximo or other ERP systems. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with various internal stakeholders including Operations, Maintenance, Management and Engineering. - Comfortable working with a team that shares work and responsibility for the success of the operation. - Self-directed and motivated while complying to with policies and procedures. - Ability to prioritize and organize to meet shifting daily demands based on operations. - Ability to respond consistently with a high degree of initiative, to have an analytical ability to resolve issues and complex problems.
