Senior Construction Specialist London, Ontario 12 month contract (extension possible) Salary: $120K$150K CAD + 4% vacation pay depending on experience Full-time schedule: MondayFriday, 8 AM5 PM Immediate start I''m supporting a global client that''s hiring a Senior Construction Specialist to lead large-scale infrastructure and industrial construction projects. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of largest construction in the area at 370 acres (150 hectares). This is a 12 month on-site contract based in St. Thomas, Ontario, with a strong possibility of extension. The role is focused on civil and structural construction management, overseeing building works, foundations, and infrastructure for an advanced manufacturing facility. You''ll manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring all work follows design drawings, safety standards, and project timelines. You''ll work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues, monitor site progress, and ensure quality delivery. You''ll be responsible for: Leading site coordination for civil and building works Reviewing drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance Supervising contractors and managing construction schedules Supporting inspections, safety reviews, and quality control Handling site documentation and progress reporting Providing guidance to junior engineers and construction staff You should have: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (P.Eng. preferred) 8+ years of experience managing construction or industrial building projects Strong understanding of foundations, earthworks, buried utilities, and large facility builds Familiarity with design-build projects and construction management processes Knowledge of CAD/BIM tools and local building codes Experience managing contractors and resolving site-level issues If you''re an experienced construction professional who enjoys leading large projects from the ground up, I''d like to have a chat.
