Were partnering with our global client, a leader in the building materials and hardware industry, to hire an International Senior Buyer Commodity Panels. This is a strategic, high-impact role where youll lead international sourcing and procurement for panel and board products across Canada. Youll manage supplier relationships worldwide from Asia to South America ensuring sharp pricing, reliable supply, and competitive market positioning. What Youll Be Doing - Lead international procurement of wood-based panels and board products (Asia, Brazil, North America). - Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize profitability and ensure supply stability. - Analyze global market trends, cost drivers, and competitive pricing structures. - Develop and strengthen supplier partnerships; identify new sources and materials. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders in sales, operations, and product management. - Recommend new products and sourcing strategies to improve margins and market agility. - Report on sourcing performance, market intelligence, and profitability impact. What Were Looking For - 10+ years of experience in international buying, procurement, or commodity sourcing, ideally within panels, wood products, or construction materials. - Proven track record in price negotiation and supplier management at a global level. - Strong market and financial insight sharp on price, sharp on the market. - Highly analytical, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently. - Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Based in British Columbia or open to relocation (national scope). - Bilingual English/French is an asset.
