SHL has a Board approved strategic plan focused on growth through optimizing/expanding clinical scope, fostering new partnerships, and advancing technology/infrastructure to ensure long-term sustainability.**Job Description:**Position Overview: Reporting to the Operations Manager of Microbiology Department in the Shared Hospital Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing all routine duties and special procedures in Microbiology Department. Requirements: Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) in Microbiology, with at least 6 months of Bacteriology experience preferred. Demonstrate a good understanding of Total Quality Management System and apply this knowledge in ensuring the release of good quality results. Working knowledge of laboratory computer systems. Preferred knowledge of automated identification and susceptibility analyzers like Phoenix and Bruker Maldi-TOF. Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Demonstrates values consistent with SHLs Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation. Utilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazards.
